Back in 2006 Aramis Pacitto & I started something new... We created a comedy series idea called "Life is Hell." Between 2006 and 2012 we had our first experiences in the film industry, we met with managers, agents and we even pitched our idea to CBC and CTV. They were all learning experiences to say the least... But those experiences brought us to coming up with several new ideas, one of which we created a web series on. THE CHALLENGER. The end of 2012 marked the filming of our first film by Suit & Stubble Productions, The Challenger - Short Film. It was far off of the concept that Aramis and I wanted to showcase. That disappointing film made us more determined than ever to make the next Challenger a sure case of proof of concept. We accomplished that. "The Challenger: Unlimited" was released in August 2013 and it kick started a web series filled with six films over the course of two years from 2013-2015. It was by far our greatest accomplishment thanks to a great team effort...
Once the series ended we went on to make two more films ("Deep Trouble" & "Visions of Violence"). "Deep Trouble" was written and created by Aramis Pacitto. It's a truly remarkable story, with a great mix of action and drama. "Visions of Violence" is another film Aramis wrote and created and has a very suttle story that is compelling enough to make a short film leave you with a feeling like you've watched a feature film. After those films were filmed and edited we had planned to do a film I wrote called "100 Black Coffin's." But we unfortunately didn't end up putting it into production due to wedge that had divided the "Suit & Stubble" team in half. If that film would have been made, our unite may have still continued to produce films. But after the events that led to that decision and several other events that happened over the course of three to four months, we had decided on a professional level that it was best we both head in separate directions. People who have seen "Deep Trouble" ask me if there will be a sequel... I believe there is going to be, but if there is my involvement will be no more than a cameo.
My experience with Aramis Pacitto and our production company was amazing. It brought out something in me that I never knew I had... I used to think I can just be a screenwriter, which is a dream on it's own. But those films, Challenger in particular showed me I can be much more. I have thanked everyone involved in those films many times and it will never be enough. "Suit & Stubble" was a fun experience, one I will carry with me throughout the rest of the projects I work on and throughout my life.
Thanks again to everyone for their help and support it couldn't have been done without you.
