SUIT & STUBBLE PRODUCTIONS: The end of an era

Press Release from “Decades Apart: the Noir Cut” on Facebook

————————————————————-

Our Director, Andrew Di Pardo’s original company from Toronto, named ‘Suit and Stubble Productions,’ announced the official end of their film company today via YouTube.

Andrew wrote, co-wrote, directed, co-directed, and co-produced over 20 projects alongside his then-business partner, friend, and cousin, Aramis Pacitto.

This is the second time this company has come to an end. The first closure occurred in 2015, before they announced a return in 2022—shortly after Andrew had publicly stated that same year that he was leaving the film industry.

“This return was always meant to be temporary,” Di Pardo says. “We intended to finalize and release unseen projects of ours, such as directors’ cuts, alternate cuts, and—most importantly at the time—our shelved film titled MJ-12.”

“I couldn’t have imagined that we’d even add a small chapter to the Challenger series with THE CHALLENGER: Redemption in 2025. That’s just unbelievable and a perfect way to end our time in the film industry,” Di Pardo concluded.

Di Pardo now turns his full attention to a life outside the movie industry. He still has his other company, Sharp Shooter Productions, which remains active despite his absence from filmmaking. This company—once responsible for his most successful film, Decades Apart, and most recently a couple of AI short films—continues to produce fan productions from events he attends.

Di Pardo hasn’t completely closed the door on AI filmmaking, but at this time he has no plans to make any more films—long, short, or otherwise.
